Gaming
With Miniature Figures
Hordes Of The Things
(HOTTs)

I Love
This Game . . .
This page is devoted to all things HOTTs in my hobby. Right now, HOTTs is the
set of miniatures rules that I prefer to play. It is a fast, furious, and fun
set of rules. Two somewhat experienced players can get a game done in an hour -
including all the side talk, snack-crunching, drink-spilling, and other
gamer-related activities. IOW, it's about as much fun as you can have with your
clothes on.

of the Things
Web site. There, you can see the latest revision of the Battle Rules
and the Campaign rules by the author.
And So I
Make Changes . . .
Even though HOTTs is a wonderful and fun
game, I really can not leave any game system alone. So, a few
modifications.
-
HOTTs Linear Campaign
- A very quick campaign for two players.
-
New
& Revised HOTTs Troop Types -
My attempt to add the missing light troops to HOTTs.
-
Revised HOTTs Charts
- Playing aids for use with the latest revision of HOTTs.
-
Aerials,
BUAs, and Woods in HOTTs -
Aerials can not end their movement in villages or woods. What's with that?
These rules change that.
-
Enhanced Lurkers in HOTTs
- Some races or ethnic groups are good at hiding or ambushing. These rules
reflect that ability.
-
On the hard drive - and moving
fast (well, considering my usual snail's pace on projects) - is my
version of the HOTTs Big Battles. My goal is to integrate the elements found
in DBA2 into HOTTs and create a set of big battle rules for those that want
more elements on the board combined with ease of play.
HOTTs
Armies
Most HOTTs players like to show you pictures of
their armies, give you a basic organization, and so on. Well, I'm a HOTTs player
- and veeeery eclectic in my interests. Click here

Links
Here are the best HOTTs-related sites that I could
find. Enjoy!
| Richard
Bodley Scott's HOTTs Page. RBS is one of the authors of the
original rules and is in the process of revising the rules. Just follow
the Hordes of the Things links. |
| The
Stronghold. A great Web page started and maintained by The Alan
Saunders. I believe that this is the original HOTTs-related Web site. |
| Thomo's
Hole. This is the home of the (in)famous Thomo the Lost, my
Aussie mate who is currently living in Perfidious Albion or flying all
around the world. |
| Jon
Mollison's site. The Jon Monster has pictures of his figures and
some scenarios. |
| The
Behemoth. This is Colin Hagreen's HOTT site. It also serves as a
chat forum for HOTT-entots. |
| The
Lair. Bill Bennett's HOTTs site and the best player in Iowa. |
| Chow
Li's House of Goblin Fun. My gaming buddy, Charlie Bennett, is
the second best player in Minnesota. Modesty prevents me from naming the
best. He and I have played many games and had a lot of fun. |
| Owen
Cooper's site has a number of historical and fantasy lists,
including some for Warhamster 40K Epic. |
